  4. WordPerfect takes advantage of Hewlett Packard NewWave.
  5.  
  6. To use WordPerfect for Windows in NewWave, you must first install
  7. the WordPerfect-NewWave Bridge.
  8.  
  9. The installation procedure is different for NewWave 3.0 and
  10. NewWave 4.0 users; to determine whether you are using HP NewWave
  11. version 3.0 or version 4.0:
  12.  
  13. 1.   Start NewWave.
  14. 2.   Choose About NewWave Office from the Action menu.
  15. 3.   NewWave 3.0 will display either "A.03.00" or "A.03.04"
  16.      listed after the component names.  NewWave 4.0 will display
  17.      "A.04.00" or "C.01.00" after the component names.
  18. 4.   Choose OK.

  20. To install the WordPerfect Bridge for NewWave version 3.0:
  21.  
  22. 1.   Start NewWave.
  23. 2.   Insert the WordPerfect Install/Program 1 diskette into
  24.      drive A: or drive B:.
  25. 3.   Choose Import From Disk File from the Objects menu.
  26. 4.   Double-click on [-a-] or [-b-] to display the A: or B: drive
  27.      listing (you may have to scroll to find it).
  28. 5.   Double-click on WPBRIDGE.SER.  The bridge will appear on the
  29.      NewWave Desktop.
  30. 6.   Double-click on the WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows bridge
  31.      object on the desktop.
  32. 7.   Choose Install Application from the Installation menu.
  33. 8.   In the Application Path text box, type the drive and path
  34.      where WPWIN.EXE is located (for example, C:\WPWIN\).
  35. 9.   Choose OK, Install.
  36. 10.  Choose Close from the Action menu to return to the NewWave
  37.      desktop.

  39. To create an object for WordPerfect for Windows in NewWave
  40. version 3.0:
  41.  
  42. 11.  Choose Create A New from the Objects menu.
  43. 12.  Select the WordPerfect for Windows icon (you may have to
  44.      scroll to find it).
  45. 13.  In the Filename For DOS Object text box, type the title of  
  46.      the WordPerfect object you would like to create.
  47. 14.  Choose OK.
  48. 15.  A new WordPerfect Object with the filename you typed is
  49.      displayed on the NewWave desktop.  To start WordPerfect for
  50.      Windows and open the file, double-click the new object. To install the WordPerfect Bridge for NewWave version 4.0:

  52. 1.   Start NewWave.
  53. 2.   Choose Install Application from the Settings menu.
  54. 3.   Select DOS/Windows(EXE) from the List Files of This Type
  55.      list box.
  56. 4.   In the Directories list box, double-click on the directory
  57.      where WPWIN.EXE is located (for example, [wpwin]).
  58. 5.   Select WPWIN.EXE.
  59. 6.   Choose OK.  The bridge will be installed into NewWave.

  61. To create an object for WordPerfect for Windows in NewWave
  62. version 4.0:
  63.  
  64. 7.   Choose Create A New from the Objects menu.
  65. 8.   Select the WordPerfect for Windows icon.
  66. 9.   Choose OK.
  67. 10.  In the Title For New Object text box, type the title of  
  68.      the WordPerfect object you would like to create.
  69. 11.  Choose OK.
  70. 12.  A new WordPerfect Object with the filename you typed is
  71.      displayed on the NewWave desktop.  To start WordPerfect for
  72.      Windows and open the file, double-click the new object.
